I have friends and family that are foreign born, and they are fine Americans; what I oppose is the program to replace Americans Citizens with foreign imports just because the Left wants cheap votes and subservient country to lord over; and the Chamber of Crony Commerce want cheap labor.

If you don't think that this is happening I suggest you look at the United Kingdom and the Left's plan to replace British Citizens with hordes of foreigners; and then look at past Democrat and Republican policies since 1965; accelerating in the 1990s. Also take a look at the corrupt H1B Visa programs; and who is behind that scam.

I just oppose the population growth / flood of diverse people that want to bring their third world concerns , politics , customs , diseases , traditions to the USA while they work to tear down Americas traditions , customs , laws , politics . Its like dual citizens that are here just to make money or have kids while their real concern is for their homelands . Checkout downtown L.A. , its the third world no matter how many businesses they create . Checkout Van Nuys Cali. , Santa Ana , yada , yada and Dearbornistan Michigan and they are all probably as bad or worse than downtown and surrounding area of Los Angeles . I was 18 and the USA was about 200 million in 1970 , today the 2010 LEGAL census numbers say that the number is 320 million in the USA not counting illegals . I don't expect to stop it , just won't support a guy that doesn't want to stop it with the ultimate goal of reducing population numbers .

My wife's grandfather and all four of the great-grandparents on my mother's side were foreign-born (I was born in West Germany, for that matter). However, they all came here legally with the intent to become Americans, not to establish a little Italy, Germany, Ireland or Czechoslovakia. After legally immigrating, my great-grandfather and grandmother were run out of Rhode Island ("No Irish") and came to Texas, where their sons eventually started 3 businesses. Their grandchildren also started their own businesses, and became doctors, lawyers, accountants, etc...

That's what immigration is supposed to look like.

All of the places you named have been ruined by illegal immigrants..not by legal immigrants.

Burbank and next door Glendale have been inundated with LEGAL immigrants..Armenians.

..not exactly my favorite ethnicity, but they have all either arrived with plenty of money, or go right to work starting their own businesses.

..they all drive BMWs or Mercedes..those are their status symbols.

..and they are all managing to buy homes in some of the most expensive neighborhoods in California.

You'd have a hard time finding some on the dole.

Please do not confuse legal immigrants that are invited here with border crashers.

I couldn't tell you, but I can tell you that in Glendale..which is the world's largest Armeninan city outside of Armenia..it is something close to 100%.

It's not a question of per cents..like I said, Armenians are far from the most desirable ethnicity.

Illegals are not wanted, except by Democrat party operatives looking for more votes.

well , I didn't card them all Greg but they came into America under Presidents of both parties they are there in California and all over the USA , see Chicago and about 120 million since the 1970 USA census and that's not counting ILLEGALS . Anyway , in the future they all will be legal , once again under a President of either party and they'll have the Right to vote and every other RIGHT America can supply . Besides that , their kids are also in the country and are going to school and probably being supported in some way by taxpayers !! And like I've always said on this board and every board I visit , I dislike ALL kinds of immigration into the USA so I don't recognize the political distinction between illegal or legal immigration . The distinction is up to the politician to declare to help them make some points with people who may not see or realize whats happening .

I have one of those stories, too..though long enough ago to seem less relevant.

1888..the year my great grandmother came from County Cork, Ireland.

The whole community in Ireland was dirt poor..people pooled their money and had enough to put one person on the boat to America...my great grandmother's name was chosen..she was 9 years old..made the trip alone.

The Irish got off in Boston, because it was the first stop..New York was a dollar more..and nobody had it!

Worked on her accent..pawned herself off as an ENGLISH person..so she could work as a chambermaid at a Boston hotel that is still there.
