Pixie Stix were what the guy in Houston used to poison his kids on Halloween. He laced them with Cyanide.

I just asked my wife and she said she doesn't remember what they used to be called, but they are still available as chocolate/strawberry straws.

They were called Flav-R-Straws. They stopped making them sometime in the 1960s.
The new ones are made differently.
