I get in the car just before midnight and immediately hear Roogie put one into the stands for what would be the winning run in the 11th inning. Later on, I learned that in the 9th inning, they were down to their last strike and Prince hit one out to tie the game. I get on the guy all the time for his shortcomings, but that was just heroic.

I love this team.

Ugh . . . west coast baseball. Ugher . . . extra inning west coast baseball.

But it was a pip. Sucks that Colby pitched so well and go a no decision.

After last night's rainout at TMS, I made it back to my camper in time to see Prince tie the game...

Fun times.

Quite the ending of today's game against the M's with Mazara's throw to get Cano and end the game.

My practice this season has been to have the radio going while the TV is on. Even though the two never sync, it is still worth it to me because of how much better the radio experience is. Today was more of the same.

That was an absolutely perfect laser-beam throw to end the game. Incredible.
My Main Man Mitch has gotten his power stroke going over the last 5 or 6 games. That's a beautiful thing, too.

Missed the last two games the Rangers won. Busy weekend. But I have got to get to a game very soon.

Looked at the standings to see that the Rangers are 5 games up. For some reason, I was feeling that it should be more. I guess the Mariners are winning most of their games too.

Did you see the "what just happened?" reaction of the pitcher when Moreland hit his homer? That was priceless.

Yes, I've seen that look from a couple of our bullpen pitchers.

I don't think any team has perfect pitching. It's not just the Rangers.

It's a trade off. The starting pitching is pretty good. But once the middle relievers start coming in I almost can't watch.

Does Wilhelmsen understand that he's not there to pitch batting practice?

How many runs did he give up? I saw the score and watched something else.

I believe it was 9 hits and 6 runs.

The A's scored 8 runs (including runners he inherited) while he was doing his coach-pitch routine.
On the plus side, Tolleson looked pretty solid. Maybe that's the "good" to come out of this game, as well as the continuation of My Main Man Mitch's power surge.

Tuesday's game is starting off well for the Rangers offensively. Perez is making it look like they are going to need a bunch of runs.

Perez did much better than he's done in the past with them. Was it just me, or was there almost no one in their stands last night?

I don't know how they stay in business in Oakland. Attendance is abysmal. They must sell a lot of corporate season tickets that are rarely if ever used.

One of their problems is that they are playing in the same stadium where the Raiders play football. They sell out that third deck for football, but embarrassingly have to cover the seats with tarp during baseball games.
