How did last night go?

It was an interesting day. They were hosted by Sunnyvale High School and we went down there Monday afternoon to watch the rehearsal. Unfortunately, Sunnyvale wasn't so sunny. They had to scrub the rehearsal when the storm rolled in.

We were worried when it started to sprinkle just before the show Monday night because there is no makeup of a rainout. No refunds either. But they got the show in. Blue Knights finished fourth, about where we expected. They stay in eighth place overall.

Here's the star of the show - after taking off the bell bottoms pajamas.

It was a full house at Lake Highlands. They need to move this to a larger stadium.

You should see the inside of their buses. Since they pack and move everyday they don't get much chance to dry things out. Wet towels and wet clothes hanging everywhere.

I don't know, BT, I kind of like the CG uniforms (maybe they look a bit different in motion?). Not crazy about the corps uni, though.

How did Phantom do? My daughter and son-in-law have done some movement work with them this summer.

Phantom Regiment came in third last night. PR and BK will end up in a battle for seventh place at the finals. We can't figure out how PR is doing so well. The show is good musically, but there's not much going on visually. I'm guessing they are saving a big wow for the finals.

The battle is between Bluecoats, Blue Devils, and Carolina Crown. The Bluecoats show is my favorite, followed by Carolina Crown. I don't think the Blue Devils show is all that great, but the judges love the Blue Devils.
