His silence is deafening. If the charges were city/county/state, he would be crowing all over the press, and calling in favors from his connections. Since it's the Feds, he has to sit down, shut up and let his lawyer run the show. IMHO he'll be heading to Federal Prison before too long. You can bet Washington is in the loop, or they wouldn't have let it go this far without quashing it. On the other hand, politics seems to trump everything these days, so you never know.

I'm not sure he goes to the pen. He probably knows where a lot of bodies are buried, and I think that although he talks a big game, JWP would turn on his own mother to stay out of the slammer. This is what I think Rivkind is busy doing - cutting a deal.

Unless he can turn on someone higher in the food chain, I think he goes to jail. A politician with 100s of thousands of dollars in cash in his possession? Will be hard for any jury to swallow as legit. His underlings may be able to cut a deal, but not him. IMHO

Oh, I think he can probably turn in some pretty big fish. One good reason why the feds want to nail him.

He has always acted like he was at the top of the food chain. If he is not, that might explain the prosecutorial zeal...

All things considered, JWP is a small fish in a pretty large pond of scum.

Another theory on why the meeting with the feds was cancelled - there's plenty of evidence of JWP losing his temper in meetings, maybe Ravkind felt that he couldn't take that chance.

Then Price will walk.
There are statutes of limitation on the kind of crimes he is accused of.

I think the statute of limitations may not apply if charges are filed and Price tries to delay things. He's corrupt as is Holder!

When they went after Yellow Cab and the councilman there was a change of venue........
Yellow Cab to Lubbock and the council man's case to Sherman.
IMO, a change of venue for JWP.

I'm not sure this ever gets to trial.

If Price is indicted then the clock will stop on the Statute limitations.

JWP needs to be remembered as a crook and a shakedown artist, not a martyr.

Does any of this have to do with Price's vending machine company?
I've tried to catch up on what he's being accused of and it's pretty vague.

As I understand it, he is being accused of requiring donations if your business was to receive a vote of yes to open in his part of Dallas county.
If no donation was given, then your business would never get code approval....but I may misunderstand the case.

I have had some experience with the feds in the past. They really want to do the plea bargain thing. Get really nasty when you turn them down.
