Anyone see the Prince Fielder press conference? I will probably watch it later tonight.

One crazy back and forth game today. Now Rangers are down 12 -9 in the 8th. Not sure if they can pull it out once again...but I never give up on them.

Well darn, not so much.

Just curious if anyone here is going to Sunday's game? Probably not I'm guessing. I'm hoping to be there.

I imagine playing such a competitive game in that heat took it's toll on both teams. The Rangers don'[t get much of a break as it will be around 100 degrees at game time tonight. However, a front is supposed to come through tonight that will drop the temp a little and maybe bring some rain. Actually, a rainout would be a good deal to give them an extra day to recover.

It will be interesting to see how the Rockies fare tonight. They won't be much better off in Philly with temps in the 90's and high humidity. At least the Rangers didn't have to travel.

No heat hangover for the Rangers tonight. But the Rockies lost to the Phillies.

Good gosh, Fulmer is just flat mowing down the Rangers today.....just like Boyd did last night.

Griffin looked good early but that didn't last.

He's about a five inning pitcher right now.

The girls and I were there. The game was a beating. And the National Anthem was bad...2 guys with a banjo harmonizing and one of their mics wasn't working. NO, I AM NOT JOKING. Stemyn from DD aka George Trost also commented about it on his Facebook page.

That being said, I'm glad the girls and I went. We spent some time in the Kids Zone to get them out of the sun and heat because it would still get HOT where we were sitting when the sun came out. But I loved the seats. They were on the third base side of the outfield 5 rows back. One ball looked like it was coming straight at us but didn't clear the wall. I got a GREAT deal on a family 4 pack and will be back when I get time.

Tough luck for Choo. Going to the DL with a fractured forearm.

Missed Beltre's grand slam. Was watching the olympics last night. Will go back to my regular baseball watching soon.

Wow...crazy game last night. Listened until Diekman gave up the lead late in the game. Then I went back to watching the Olympics. Saw the Facebook posts about the comeback in the 10th and turned on the replay this morning. Why would they issue an intentional walk to put the winning run on 3rd base? Then bring in a new pitcher who gives up the game by hitting Odor with his first pitch...

Bob Melvin just didn't want to pitch to Adrian Beltre with the winning run on second base and one out. He thought his chances were better pitching to Odor with the bases loaded.

John Axford's WHIP, 2012-2016: 1.45, 1.52, 1.46, 1.58, 1.57. This guy doesn't belong in the major leagues, and the A's are on the hook for another $5.5 million next season.

That sound you hear is the sound of people kicking themselves for leaving the ballpark early.

There were a couple of curious things about that. They not only intentionally walked Beltre to load the bases, but they brought on the new pitcher, Rzepczynski, to do the intentional walk. The outgoing pitcher usually does that.

But it wasn't just that they intentionally walked Beltre to put the winning run on 3rd. After all, Beltre has been hitting about .500 for the last 10 games or so. But they did it with only one out, so just about any kind of contact was going to score the run, unless they got a double play. Rougie is a lefty with good speed, so he can be tough to double up.

Another win last night. I think the Rangers are 7 games up on the Mariners now. And people are starting to talk about the Magic Number now. It's 36 now. 8-)
