Did you see Elvis run into Dae-Ho Lee at first running out a groundball? Elvis tried to apologize but Lee looked pissed. This was probably retaliation for that. Nothing else happened that I could see. Caminero put a fast ball in Elvis's ribs right under his left arm. Home plate umpire ejected him immediately. As far as I know there had been no warnings issued.

I didn't see any of the game since it's a daygame while I'm at work. I followed it on my computer off and on by using MLB Gameday. I might try to watch some of the repeat tonight. At night when I'm working late, I listen to it streaming on the computer. I try to watch at home, but no one else really wants to see much of the games.

Lee was out of position on that play. Elvis had nowhere to go.

I am always amazed at how many major league first basemen get the footwork wrong.

It appears that Steve Buechele's son Shane may start Sunday's game at quarterback for the Texas Longhorns.

Banny Rooster wants dad to be there for that game. Gerry Fraley posted this on Twitter just now:

Banister: `If he's still here, I might tell the umpires to throw him out ... to make sure he gets there.'

Nice game last night except that the Rangers Bullpen almost let the Astros come back and win. Griffin pitched well though. Rangers killed their best starter!

The Rangers are 8-1 on the current homestand and are now cruising.

A win today would put the Rangers up 11.5 on the field with 25 to play.

That game went on past midnight last night. Rangers needed to keep scoring runs. And Andrus hit a homer to the third deck!

It looked like it went a mile, but it was measured at only 405 feet. Still enough to get into the upper deck.

Did you see all the talking that went on the the dug out after he ran the bases? I usually don't get to actually see the games since I'm working so late, but the game went so late last night too.

Rougie almost hit a grand slam into the third deck in the 9th. Absolutely crushed it, but he was just a little in front and hit it foul.

Nor starting out well tonight. So far they've dug themselves a 5- 0 hole in the 1st inning

Looking like I may be able to catch up on some of the sleep I lost last night.

I hope the pitching staff gets this out of their system before October. If Darvish and Hamels don't right the ship in Anaheim this weekend, I'm going to be a little concerned. Even then, they won't get far in the playoffs relying on a two-man rotation and Claudio in relief.

Who would the two men be? At this point, I wouldn't be too sure about any of them.

Like I said, let's see how Darvish and Hamels fare this weekend.

Darvish was much better. Rangers won in a low scoring game for a change. That's how it needs to be.

Darvish was better, but bullpen was hanging on by its fingernails.

My irrational hatred of the Angels made me go to bed smiling last night because the Rangers won.
