He can keep his .166 average and .629 OPS in the Bronx. The Rangers fleeced the Yankees in that deal.

ETA: He is Chris Davis 2.0....without the 50 homer season.

That 12th inning was a kick to the nuts.

Can we all agree that Allard is not ready for prime time?

I can agree that this bullpen sucks.

Allard has been sent back to Round Rock, and AJ Alexy is on his way up to replace him.

I thought we were going to have a replay of Tuesday night when Leclerc went into choke mode.

We got it on Thursday night with Santana.

I don't think Woody handles his bullpen very well...

Banny got bashed for a lot of things, but he took a ragtag bullpen one year and got great performances out of it. IIRC, that was when he made Sam Dyson his closer.

I had a conversation last night with another avid Ranger fan known to many on this board. His statement: "This Seattle series is telling the entire league the Rangers are sellers at the deadline."

I'm not sure what the Rangers have to sell. Martin Perez would rather have an extension than be traded. Jon Gray's contract is really too long for him to be traded. Nobody wants Brad Miller or Charlie Culberson. Nobody wants anybody from this crappy bullpen. Kole Calhoun maybe?

The Rangers kicked ass in the draft. They grabbed Kumar Rocker with the 3rd overall pick, and followed that up by grabbing high school pitcher Brock Porter in the 4th round. Porter was rated by most as the best high school pitcher in the draft, but considered to be unsignable. The Rangers have already signed him.

With this bullpen an 11-0 lead is not safe.

Losing two of three over the weekend to the worst team in the league signals that we should be in "Sell, Sell, Sell!" mode before next week's trade deadline.

Please get Culberson, Miller, and most of the bullpen out of town this week.

Make a fair contract extension offer to Martin Perez, and if he doesn't immediately accept, trade him, too. He'll bring more than all the rest of those clowns combined.

Kole Calhoun seems like a good guy, but if anybody inquires about him, get him gone, too.

Chris Woodward got fired today...

Two things:

I don't think Woody knows how to handle a pitching staff.

Watching the games this year, I don't get the feeling that the players on the field have a fear of failure. That's a culture problem.

I stopped religiously following the Rangers a couple of years after Jon Daniels joined the organization and screwed over Nolan Ryan.
Based on everything I've seen, he's the one who needs to go.

Nolan should have been the GM all along.

What kind of culture problem?

I'm sure Chris Young wants to get his own guy in there.

Even with the addition of veterans like Seager and Semien the team has never really jelled. Is there a clear leader in the clubhouse?

Mercifully, the 2022 season has ended. This team needs an entire culture change. I'd like to see the entire major league coaching staff get fired so the new manager can bring all of his own guys in here....

I like Tony Beaseley, but he hasn't earned even an interview for our managerial opening.

Here are salary projections for Ranger arbitration eligible players:

Rangers (6)

Mitch Garver (5.045): $4.2MM
Brett Martin (3.151): $1.5MM
Taylor Hearn (3.125): $1.7MM
Dennis Santana (3.095): $1.1MM
Jonathan Hernandez (3.041): $1MM
Nathaniel Lowe (2.145): $4.3MM

I don't think Tony Beasely is the guy. But I don't know who the guy is.

One guy I'd like to see at least get an interview is Carl Willis. He builds Cy Young winners, and is the current pitching coach for the Indians.
