This could have easily been a four game sweep of the Red Sox. These last two losses were hard to take.

Just have to keep it all in perspective. Based on what we thought we were going to get . . . any win this team gets is overachieving.

Drew Smyly has been removed from the rotation. Jesse Chavez will be the first pitcher up in tonight's bullpen game.

Smyly pitched in relief last night and looked pretty good. Odor grand slam was sweet.

Did I hear them say on the broadcast that the Reds have the best bullpen in baseball?

Ronald Guzman is now represented by Scott Boras.

That sucks.

And Pence injured himself chasing a fly ball. Hope it's not too serious.

And Mazara sat out yesterday's game with a sore knee. Both Pence and Mazara are set for MRI's. Woody all but said Pence will be going to the DL.

Tonight's game will be a good one to watch. Mike Clevinger has been on the DL for the Indians since early April with a strained back, and he will be activated to start tonight's game. He was outstanding in last Tuesday's rehab start in Akron.

Here is an interesting story about something Clevinger did while he was on the DL. He is quite a character...

Sunday afternoon games are problematic for me. I need to do work around the house so I record the game and watch it Sunday evening. After I saw the final score I didn't even bother.

Well, darn I missed it. Will try to go find it. Our pitcher was very good from what I heard after tuning in late.

I actually found it. Funny how how it hit the back stop and ricocheted all the way the the ranger dugout.

Smyly really does look done, right down to his body language.

Fairbanks is a keeper.

When Smyly came in to the game, I told my husband that the Rangers must have given up on coming back to win since the score was 7 to 1 and there's Smyly pitching. Two homers later I changed the channel.

I checked out at 7-1. Didn't see a comeback happening on this one.

Sometimes those games can at least get interesting but I was done when the homers made it worse
