FWIW, I don't believe Hydrogen Hydroxide is here.

That doesn't mean there aren't plenty of others like him.

Not sure what all this is about. Sock puppetry?

Whatever it is it has become very boring. Maybe part of the playground for monotone
minds?

And, Not being completely sure how all this phBB works I wonder, have you not put me on your 'fecal roster' ...
or more to the point, your ignore list? Pls take care of that today. You promised.

I'm actually interested in playing with folks who have a full deck and who are willing to
observe and comment honestly, openly and without gratuitous abuse.

would be a long list.

To get the job done, there must be funding for the

Congress has the power to solve, in purty much its own way,
problems.

Any fair person would quickly see that the gummit must be allowed to establish
x, y or z, because, if it cannot, it is not positioned to survive the slings and arrows
of outrageous fortune.

(In other words, the Internal Revenue Service e,g, is not in
the constitution,
but the nation would be in life altering trouble if we did not
have it. I'm guessing you are not happy about the IRS, but that fair person
would agree that it is messy and inconvenient as well as being necessary.)

And my feeble mind doesn't recognized 'blah, blah, blah' as a reasonable
argument bec it isn't.

PS What is the difference between 'unconstitutional' and 'blatantly
unconstitutional???

What part of blatantly unconstitutional does your feeble mind not understand?

Of course it is:

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

There isn't anything in that statement about making transfer payments to private organizations.

I categorically deny that I think Texans are not real bright and I have NO desire to 'school' anybody. I could say I don't have the time and I'm not gracious enough, but, after having lived in North Central TX for a quarter of a century I think I have the standing to speak to, with, and (sometimes) even for TX. Which I never miss a chance to do.

My son works in Manhattan and lives in Queens. We visit often and have even sub let apts from time to time. The opportunities are vast, the excitement is palpable and it's always 'let the good times roll'! NYC can be dirty as can any big city ... but, Ann, NYC is hardly a hell hole. It's been very safe for years, you can do and become about anything you can dream about. It's very competitive of course, but if you can make it there ....

You think Texans are the only people making money hand over fist? You are not on target there. The money being made by mid middle and upper middle class in NYC is amazing (and appalling).

Anyhow, Russians are making money in ways that could dizzy Jerry Jones and Ross Perot. I'd not be surprised to hear that there are more billionaires in Russia that in Saudi Arabia or the USofA. I don't know about that. But can you tell me: So what? So what if Texans are making money hand over fist.

By the way, I am unimpressed with those who think making money hand over fist is a particularly laudable goal ... almost anyone who can read can do that if she knows the right people. I'm more impressed with people who have large hearts and who seek not only to live their own lives, but who, as they live, seek to reduce ignorance and end suffering. And there are those few of us who are proud to pay taxes for the country we love which are intended to solve problems and care for people. Sure some don't. Don't like the way it's done now? Then vote for change.

That's OK with me as long as selfish and illegal means are not chosen. And NYC is hardly a war zone ... people with money are moving out, and people with lots of money are moving in ... some of them are culpable in the '08 disaster and maybe should be enjoying the fruits of their cheating in the federal penitentiary system. But who am I to judge?

Ann, I don't know you but I'm find myself wondering why you are so hot about me. What did I ever do to you? I read back some of your notes and you appear to me to be just a little what? ... angry. Why is that? Can we turn the heat down a little? Thank you.

And incentives. Have you forgotten the embarrassing groveling Dallas did when Boeing was looking for a place to open their central offices (and it was primarily to scare Chicago, which they should have known). And what about the AA Stadium. And the Jones money making machine ... how about the Ballpark over in Arlington? Ann, it's not just Yankees that pull devious shit.

I don't want to move to Buffalo! But ... it's wrong to offer business great incentives to come here? Jeez, let me see ... have Texans never done that ... and played it very, very well. And, finally, did I say NY is not a hell hole? Believe me ... it's a state of great natural beauty (Finger Lakes, Adirondacks, a Great Lake or two, Niagara Falls, better than world class medicine, many extremely good institutions of higher learning ... and on and on ...

I think it's very petty to try to inflate what you have by deflating (or ridiculing) others. And I don't think you have the first clue who I am. Calling me names neither makes me nor breaks me. I will do exactly as I want and when I stop wanting to, I will stop doing (whatever) ... regardless your opinion of me. I do think that those who stoop to name calling and who decide who other people are are just a little bit overdone. Call me whatever you like. I'm just trying to enjoy my retirement, keep my health and share a little of what I have if anyone wants it. (You may roll your eyes now.)

I can't for the life of me know why you don't just put me on ignore. I'm not a troll. I don't have a need to fight with you, RO, JW, GFB or anyone else. But I'm damn sure of one thing ... none of the above is about to run me off.

ann jusko wrote:This is an example of the "invaders" we had on Dallas Digest. People who think Texans are not real bright and they will "school" us. Meanwhile, these "ignorant" Texans are making money hand over fist. New York City is a hell hole brought on by "progressives". The smart people are rebelling against the taxes they have to pay, and moving out of New York City and state. I have to laugh at the "incentives" they're dangling in front of companies to move to New York state. Who in the hell wants to move to Buffalo? Who wants to pay all those taxes to support people who won't work? So, please clean up your own state before you try to "school" Texans. We don't want socialism here. Whatever he calls himself now, we know who he is...waterhead.
