No, Red Oak has always been around..and Paladin came and left.

And I even remember Red Oak messaging me to watch out for that guy.

I hope I'm not confusing you with someone else, Red Oak.

Nope, I know them both. I like both even though they are polar opposites.

There is certain irony in someone having major confrontations both an extreme right winger and an extereme leftist.

just an observation , right wingers generally want to open things up so that there is more freedom for everyone . See guns as example . The more guns circulating amongst Americans the better is my opinion . Abortion , while I dislike it and will never have one my main objection is my tax money being spent to help provide abortions plus I think that late term abortion is rotten except when done to save the life of the mother . --------------------------------------- Lefties on the other hand want abortion at any time at the whim of the woman so any reason at any time is acceptable . Guns , well lefties want people to have guns that are approved of by lefties . -------------------------------------------- Another example , lefties want EVERYONE to vote and they oppose proper I.D. so that illegals and other ineligible people can vote . Righties only want people that are eligible to vote voting. Might be off topic but is in response to Grouchy mention of lefties and righties .

Not even close - Pal and Red Oak. I've never, ever had a problem with Red Oak. In fact, when I needed information, it was Red Oak I went to. I trust him and his knowledge. As for Cactushopper....he always went after me. He was gross and yet, when some of us had lunch, he hardly talked at all. He was most disturbed when he met Patriot. They chatted all the time and seemed to like each other very much. And then we had lunch and he actually saw Patriot. They hardly spoke. I got suspended from DD. Cactus and I had a go-round and I told him to "Kiss my ass" . He responded with his usual crude comeback. We both got suspended. As for Bubba, he's the most insecure man I've ever known. I think he went after Greg out of pure jealousy. Greg is a professional musician and Bubba would just needle him. Why? You guess. I don't think DEW was anyone else on the board. He had a wife and son. He was pretty obnoxious, too. Maybe he went to Zoofreaks board, I don't know since it was not a place I wanted to be after hearing comments about it. Zoofreak was former Navy and just knew EVERYTHING. When I stated that the Navy had boots on the ground in Iraq, he argued with me. Hell, they even had the Coast Guard there. Air Force had boots on the ground, too. It was "all hands on deck". IF I was missing DD, going over this has made me more grateful than ever for THIS forum.

I don't remember "Ann Jusko" on the old board. Did you have a different name then?

Also, as I remember "Red Oak" left the board before it ended and then showed up here. But, seemed to me like it wasn't the same guy.

Paladin raised the ire of everyone on Chronos board. As I said he drove off all the women...........not that there were that many. As I recall he seemed to be there only to argue, name call, and offend. I seem to recall he had a pretty dirty mouth, er fingers, too.

I met Patriot on Chronos' board also. Never met her in person but she and I got along just fine. She wasn't the type of person I would probably be friends with in real life but I liked her online.

To my knowledge Ann's been Ann Jusko on DD since she joined about 15 years ago. Didn't know you had been booted, Ann. But then that was a pretty intolerant board unless one was part of the inner circle.

I didn't know Chronos had a board. I doubt I was invited or would have joined if I had. He was an arrogant A-hole.

I don't know how I found out about it since I had been booted from DD early on. Heck, I didn't remember my moniker till I saw it on Red Oak's sig. Wonder how come he remembers it when I didn't. I must be very important to him. Guess that's why he loves me so much. :P

Chronos had some interesting opinions and ways of doing things but he was a much better and more tolerant moderator than KMC. The problem with his board was the same as this one - not enough people contributing.

I was only "suspended" for three days, Sue. And yes Planosteve, I might have been one of a very few who used my real name.

Chronos has been here but has used his own name. The kids are of an age that there's some sports or school activity every night. He is a very attentive father. I like him a lot. I just didn't have time to check e-mail, DD and then get on his board.

Ken had warned me early on not to use my real name. I never had a bit of trouble, but after there was a terrible invasion of privacy, I realized it could happen to me, too. A little late in the game to be changing though.

I was on the original board for about five years as Bill Gibbins. Multiple people warned me to change to a moniker. I saw no need and indeed at times when warned to cover my butt I posted address and phone number info. I told the other side to just closed the gate if they came down to the farm. Offer still stands. btw, Bubba was one of the most outspoken about being secretive/anonymous. Go figure.

There were a handful of us that posted fairly regularly over there. I felt that it was made fun of on the regular side.

I think the inner circle you're speaking of was one person. I honestly can't recall anyone but Bubba having ugly posts deleted.

I'm of the opinion that Hopper didn't believe half the stuff he posted. He just got his jollies getting a rise out of right-wingers.

I agree.
