One of their problems is that they are playing in the same stadium where the Raiders play football. They sell out that third deck for football, but embarrassingly have to cover the seats with tarp during baseball games.

I had to argue with my husband that those are actual seats. He didn't believe me.

This is what the stadium looks like in its football configuration. Temporary seats are placed in what is the outfield for baseball. The Raiders hate playing there during the final weeks of the baseball season because the dirt infield has to remain in place.

Never been there. I'm sure that there are wonderful things about Oakland, but I've never heard any of them.

A great come from behind victory last night. I didn't make it past 5-5, but I didn't outlast Derek Holland's pitching....

i am sure there are good things about the city.

Thursday against the A's, Colby came close to having a perfect game, then a no hitter, then a shut out. Well, at least he got the WIN and no one in the bullpen needed to be involved. This from someone that many were ready to run out of town in the past.

Politics aside, I love San Francisco and Marin County. East Bay - not so much.

Would love to make it there some day. Only been to the Los Angeles area and drove up the PCH for a bit.

Almost forgot, spent a month in China Lake NAS during the mid 70's when I was a freshman in high school. My grandparents, my brother and I drove all the way out there from Dallas in the cab of a Chevy pick up truck. Drove through NM, AZ and Barstow CA to get there. The dessert is pretty out there and I actually didn't mind the heat back then.

Politics aside?

You love San Francisco and especially Marin County?

So, what is it you love?

I think if you're a property owner in that area, you have good reason to love it..for anyone else...?

I do the like wine country, because it's easy to pretend you're nowhere near San Francisco.

San Francisco is a beautiful city. Lots to see and do. Is that not enough? (I got a feeling it won't be)

Yes, rich liberals and bums go together nicely.

They win over the evil Cardinals. Cole shuts them down, Roogie goes way deep.

Love it.
