Of course, I have no idea about the decisions of the women who are organizing--but, it MIGHT have been that the didn't want the march to turn into an "abortion issue" march. Abortion is still such a hot button issue that one sign mentioning it and the whole mood of the room/march/event changes.

I did not nor do I know anyone who participated in the woman's parade. I am too freaking busy with two children, a chronically ill husband and a job to spend a whole day at a parade that I mostly don't even agree with. I have my own opinion about women and so called gender inequality from nearly 30 years of working in the accounting industry and being around women. Not going into that now. And I am not hanging by a thread over whether people here are getting along or not. I just don't post that much because the topics are pretty much the same and not something that interests me to the same degree as the rest of you. Oh and yes, I'm kind of busy as a said to begin with.

As far as abortion goes, I wouldn't have my two children if their biological mother has excercised her reproductive rights. Yes, I admit that is a very self centered view, but that is how I look at it now.
