WHO is responsible ?? WHO is it that MAKES these dopers and overdosers take these Opioids . I had a knee operation a few years ago , Doctor prescribed some kind of drug , it was a narcotic . I picked up the drug but put it on a shelf and just used 'ibupropen' . Knee eventually got better and stopped hurting PSteve .

Keep yourself off drugs..or it's your own fault.

Last year I fell while trimming some shrubs and broke both bones in my wrist. I drove to the hospital for some X-rays and had the arm splinted. They gave me a prescription for a pain killer and after I got home and took it I was introduced to "Projectile Vomiting". That crap was immediately disposed of and I took some OTC pain killers and survived. You will never have to worry about me taking that stuff.

The main problem with it is that opioids cause very severe constipation. So, you have to constantly take laxatives, a lot of which don't work well.

---------------------------------------------------- seems to me that pain free cancer treatment would be more important than being off opioids . After cancer treatment is achieved then get rid of the opiods . -------------------------------- think it was 92 , i had my broken , mangled , infected and twisted left leg operated on 3-4 times starting in 1989 . The last time it was operated on was in 92 . The operation took 8 hour , the leg was re-broken , cleaned up and they they ran a blood supply vein to the wound and the muscle that they had just grafted to the wound on my leg [micro surgery] . I was in a burn care unit for a week . I was given a hand held injector button that allowed me to inject morphine or whatever it was . I was in bed in the hospital for a month after i got out of the burn ward . Anyway , i never became addicted PSteve .

What I understand is that Oxycotin is not addictive when taken for serve pain. But, it is if taken recreationally. People who take it for fun and get addicted usually obtain it illegally. That probably makes them reluctant to seek treatment. So, the govt. making it illegal actually causes a lot of deaths from people who don't seek treatment because they don't want to go to prison.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ thing with modern day television that i have noticed for the last few years is that there is a pill or a drug made and SOLD for just about everything . There is a current commercial running about a guy that takes opioids for back pain with its associated constipation . My back hurts everyday since i was 14 because i broke it and the last thing i'd ever take for back pain is OPIOIDS . Oh well , maybe his back hurts worse than mine . .

He got off of them..many years ago..long before this story became fashionable.
If he had taken them for fun..and stayed on them..yes, he’d be scum..by his own doing.
