Not enough. They should at least have a public ceremony in front of members of his unit to strip every medal, ribbon, patch & button, except his name badge, off his uniform. Then march him between the ranks, with their backs to him, out the main gate, & very loudly, slam it shut.

In a few years, Baba Wawa or some other lib will give him a sympathetic interview in an attempt to rehabilitate his image. Then there will be a campaign to change his discharge.

5 years of imprisonment by the Taliban and the PTSD he will suffer the rest of his life is enough "punishment".
