At the owlhoot - plenty of mesquite wood and Rebel Yell, so I will make it through the night :)

Wind chill out here is 8. I won't be sitting on the porch tonight.

It's a balmy 22 out in southern Wise. Definitely leaving the water dripping in my little country shack tonight.

Also tended to the neighbors' house today: made sure the heat was running and their pump house had heat. They were traveling back home and were stranded by icy roads.

I just let the dogs out. They did not stay long. Now in the chair with me. Feel like ice cubes.

Back outside. 15 F with a wind chill of 3. I think I will wait a while before I head out to the pasture to check on the cows.
