I started reading Zits in the car when it first appeared in the DMN many years ago...about the time my son was 13. I was reading it in the car because my kids went to different schools and there was a 25 minute lag time between starting bells....I'd let my son out at the 5th grade school and wait in the car with my daughter on the parking lot at the elementary school for her 1st grade class. We studied spelling then read the comics together.
I swear those comic writers were looking in my window as I raised my son.....sometimes they hit the nail on the head the exact day after I had the same experience. I think I still have a large stack of those comics cut from the paper in a box somewhere around here. I think I'll save them for my son....for he will have the same experiences when his son is a teenager...
