Last night we saw a news story on WFAA concerning a couple. The story called them quadriplegic, but both could move their arms.
So, I dropped a note to the news station saying, that a quadriplegic means all 4 limbs are immobile.

The news responded:
The couple identifies as quadriplegic, because that refers to which vertebrae was affected, according to the couple's explanation to our reporter.
They met in a quad-rugby team and identify as such.
Thank you for watching, and yes we noticed this as well and asked questions about it.

Interesting.............Wonder what the medical world thinks of the corruption of the word.
