Rahr in Ft. Worth makes a good one, Texas Red. They used to make a better one, Buffalo Butt, but they must have stopped producing it.

The local bar brings me my beer in an icy frozen mug, and after they sit it down in front of me, ice floats to the top.

If you like amber ale you might try 90 Shillings from Odell in Fort Collins. My local Walmart Neighborhood Market carries it. I spent an evening at their brewpub in Fort Collins in Dec. They also have a seasonal available at Total Wine called "Settledown Brown" that is very good.
