A woman was attacked by two young men last night around midnight in the 39oo block of McKinney Ave in Dallas. Its a part of town with new high rise apartments going up, but its also home to many 20-30 year old apartments whose residents may or may not be the people you want to see at midnight on a dark street.

The woman was sliced with a box cutter on the arms, legs and torso. She was out simply walking her dog. She told police the two assailants looked to be black males ages 13-15 wearing all black.

Two things really bother me about this, other that the attack itself,(1) Is it ever safe for a woman to walk her dog at midnight on a dark street, (2) Regardless of their ages it was aggrivated assault with a deadly weapon and they should face adult charges.They did an adult crime, the punishment should fit the crime

Add me to the NO vote. Crazy. Some neighborhoods I wouldn't even be out in before midnight. The lady needs to move or get cats that stay inside.

If she identified the assailants as being black, that makes her a racist.

ETA: And yes, Dallas is a shithole. It isn't safe to walk anywhere at night.

According to the Left, if you identify a black person as a black person, then you are a racist.

I've never heard any such proclamation from the Left regarding white people. In fact, you can call whites any name you like, and it's all good.

always best to identify race and other identifying characteristics in all criminal activity if they are known . People calling anyone that reports facts RACIST is funny imo !!

I live in a neighborhood where it probably would be ok to air a walk or walk your pet after midnight. I'll tell you what would happen, though. Thirty people would begin calling each other, and 20+ grainy black and white pics would be on the neighborhood page on FB telling people to watch out for the guy walking his dog, as the dog is probably a prop allowing him to bivouac the area....
