When you grill a steak at home, and serve it........

Do you add any steak sauce?

Over here: NO, NEVER.

We don't even have any in the house. IMO, the flavor should be of the meat! Isn't that why you selected the beef?

Do I have to say, no ketchup either?

Most of the time no

We ate at a place that had a creamy horseradish sauce, lit the hairs in your nose.....loved it

Wife found something similar at Wal Mart......Beano is who makes it & in the deli section

Love it on steak!!

My hubby likes a rub seasoning on his steak....called Grub Rub...I buy it at Kroger.

It has brown sugar or something in it that caramelizes on the grill.

Nope. No sauce on steak- just salt & pepper.

But I do love sauce on barbecued brisket!

Restaurants put butter on top of steak. Who does that?

I usually just out salt & pepper before I gril it. I've also used bacon seasoned powder (from CM). I have put a pat of butter on a steak to finish it.

Cooking on the grill, directly on the grill, is my 3rd favorite now. I prefer a cast iron skillet on the stove to sear, then into a hot oven - thanks, Alton Brown. My daughter got me a susie-Q from Sams and I'll use that on the grill - awesome!!!

We'll have A1 on the table, but it usually goes on the baked potato. :)

I use Heinz 57 on hamburger steak.
I also put it on cottage cheese.
