Why you shouldn't bother to vote

Postby planosteve » Thu Nov 08, 2018 5:14 am

Because it is a total waste of your time. Yes, I did vote, against my better judgement. But, if there had been a line I would not wasted the time.
I believe you should spend your time doing what benefits you. Voting doesn't. That's why they quilt-trip people into voting. They want you to think it will make a difference. It won't. Your life is precious and the older you get the shorter the time you have left. Don't waste it by playing their stupid games.

I hate to break it to you, but nobody you voted for cares a whit about you, who you are, who you voted for, or anything else about you. You will not receive a single thank you from any of them.

It took me about 10 minutes on my way into work on Tuesday. No problem for me.

My wife and I usually vote and then go to a restaurant and have a nice lunch. Like many things, it's a matter of many people choosing to do the right thing. A society breaks down when a critical mass of people decide that such things are no longer worth doing.

I think the ballot was 3 pages. The last 2 pages was nothing but judicial. You think anybody actually knew who they were and studied their fitness to serve and voted for the most qualified? If so you spent a lot of hours of your time. If not you weren't doing you due diligence and might have well just stood there and flipped a coin.

Most of it is very easy. Anybody with a D behind his/her name is blatantly unfit to serve. That narrows down the field in all races considerably.

The voters of Kansas would say your wrong. That's what they used to think.
