I decided my 2005 Scion with less than 80,000 miles on it should get new plugs and ignition coils because of age not mileage.
So I shop on line and decided to stick with names I know and ignored a lot suppliers, I didn't price the dealer.
Found a Delphi with a 3 year warranty from Autozone was over $100 each ( another supplier was $65 or so each)
Amazon is delivering them for $31.38.
Amazon was also cheaper than Autozone on spark plugs, $3.16 vs $3.99.

I was shocked by the difference in price. Tomorrow when the 3 packages , yep 3 amazon warehouses were needed generating 3 shipping e-mails and tracking links, I'll look them over and install them Saturday.

I get fuel and air filters for my truck from Amazon for half of the cost from big box auto parts.

I just tried looking on my Amazon tablet and it's difficult to look for auto parts. On my desktop upstairs I can shop by car at Amazon totally different experience. I can shop by car at AutoZone on my tablet, so I did price one filter and it was about 40 percent cheaper like you said.
I'll order filters for both cars tomorrow.

Well already broke a tab on the first connector I touched and 3 more chances to do it again.

Replacement connectors ordered this morning from amazon, along with filters.

Retail margin at auto stores is really high.
I get a lot online. Obviously, when you are broke down you are stuck local

I use to sell automotive aftermarket products, the margins expected 20 years ago have to be next to impossible in today's retail and wholesale environment.
