Getting back to normal

Postby Sangersteve » Mon May 04, 2020 9:13 am

Yesterday around 2 in the afternoon daughter #2 called to let me know it's back to work at Winstar 5/15/2020.

About an hour later grandson #1 showed up at the house to let us know he is starting back to work today. He's a slot tech for Aristocrat gaming, headed to Louisiana to get the casino's ready to start up on the same date.

So that's a lot of people going back to work next week.

Resturants will not be back to normal. Idiotic local "social distancing" and severely reduced maximum occupancy restrictions are going to kill a lot of them off. How does a burger or chicken joint manage that?
I don't think the end is near anymore. :D I think it's HERE! :o

Our local bars and restaurants opened back up last week. We visited our two favorite bars both Friday and Saturday nights....

There weren't nearly enough people in there for these establishments to make a living. People are going to have to come out of their houses and start supporting these local businesses again. This current situation isn't sustainable.

Lots of our local places are opening up now. Been to our two favorite diners. Not many folks, but they are optimistic
