Bubba Wallace and the noose

Postby jellowrestling » Mon Jun 22, 2020 11:50 am

Does anyone else smell a rat? I don't know enough about NASCAR to have an opinion on whether or not it's likely that someone would do something like this, but my experience has been that it is usually that it's someone trying to "Bring awareness" or somesuch, because people rarely even think of putting up nooses, much less actually doing it. I recall that in a couple of cases, the "nooses" were nothing more than shoestrings that happened to have a vague appearance like a noose. And then there's Juicy Smow-lett.

Access to that garage is very limited, and even more limited since they are following their protocols due to the virus.

I'll reserve my judgement on the situation until I have more facts.

Nascar is going all in on their virtue signaling before today's event.

You would think in this day and age there would be security cameras in the garages.

He's still beating himself up over that last fiasco.

Jussie's timing was off. If he had waited a year they would be a national hero instead of a punchline.

I have not heard the details..but yes, I smell a rat already.

Nooses are the kind of stereotypical concept that even the most racist white person would not involve himself with.

I've seen some chatter online that they know who did this but won't release details until after today's race.

NASCAR teleconference: NASCAR President Steve Phelps talked to the media Monday afternoon. Some notes:

The investigation is still ongoing.
A #43 team crew member found the noose in the garage stall yesterday and notified security. Senior NASCAR leadership got involved to determine the next steps.
The Birmingham FBI was notified at 7:30am this morning and is on site.
NASCAR won’t discuss specifics regarding cameras in the garage yet. That will be a part of the investigation and info will be released as soon as possible.
Only essential personnel were in the area at the time. That is a very small number of people. NASCAR has that list and has shared it with the FBI.
NASCAR will use every effort to determine who did it. All resources from NASCAR and the FBI will be available.
Phelps said, it "personally offends me" for people to say that NASCAR staged the noose.
NASCAR says the perpetrator will "unequivocally" be banned from NASCAR for life.
Phelps says he is the one that notified Bubba of the incident. He says Bubba handled it with the grace that he has handled everything over the past few weeks.
NASCAR did let the team look at the car this morning to make sure nothing had happened to it.
A complete transcript of the call is posted here.

If it turns out that Bubba Wallace did it himself, all bets are off on the lifetime ban.

Evidence suggests the “noose” was a loop tied in the rope of the pull down bay doors in the garage, all the doors have one. Just another Race Hoax.

If this is true ban this worthless excuse for a driver and everyone that abetted this hoax, which would include NASCAR Management.

The MSM and all of the Nascar pundits were quick to indict all white Nascar fans yesterday. Where do we go to get our good names back?

And who is the dumbass that mistook a garage door pull rope for a hangman's noose?

It was a garage door pull rope and had been there for months. Bubba only was assigned the garage recently :D

I don't think the end is near anymore. :D I think it's HERE! :o

Outlaw garage doors. Should have been done years ago.

A “noose” is a knot that closes up on itself and is very difficult to loosen, this knot on the pull down rope of the overhead door looks to Bowlin or similar knot that does not close upon itself. A “noose” or hangman’s knot would constrict around the hand of used for a grasping aid on a pull down rope.

This hoax was intentional and those involved should be charged if there are laws in Alabama that can be applied. Also the Team of this sorry Son of a Bitch should reimburse Law Enforcement for the cost of investigating this hoax.

So is this Race Baiter Bubba Wallace, who before this hoax I had never heard of before the hoax, be known as the Jussey Smullet or the Colin Kaepernick of NASCAR ?
