Jobs Report July 1, 2020

Postby Zephyr » Thu Jul 02, 2020 7:53 am

ABC, of all people, reports jobs are up by 4.8 million, and the unemployment rate fell to 11.1% amid pandemic.

Is THAT the best Trump can do?

I watched Trump read the numbers from something on the podium.
Blacks, Hispanics, women, high school education only all were noted for having record jobs numbers.

The Labor Department separately reported Thursday that 1.4 million Americans filed initial jobless claims last week, down from 1.5 million the prior week, a sign that a historically high number of workers continue to be laid off. Claims have reached a staggering 48 million the past three months.

“While the labor market recovery has surpassed expectations, it has only recouped three out of every 10 jobs lost,” economist Gregory Daco of Oxford Economics wrote in a note to clients.

If your going to argue statistics, you need to give a link to the source, not just say ABC or Fox News, etc.

I may not be the technical guy I thought I was, but I was led to believe if you type "www.abc.com" you might find the abc web page. From there, it shouldn't be difficult to find the news department, or whatever they call it.
