The GOP has never appreciated President Trump, the man that single-handedly rescued it from the Obama wilderness.

Trump supporters are not Republican loyalists. Many Republican politicians are hated by Trump supporters more than the hated Democrats.
The MAGA movement could move to another candidate if it had to..but there are very few that fit the bill.
Don Jr is one who does..but Trump supporters are still 1000% behind the main man.

There was nothing Trump proposed that was dumber than building a wall on the Mexican border. It was actually a fence, easily penetrated, for 350 miles of a 2,000 mile border.
