Got Donna to the airport, drove to Mansfield then to Garland, worked 30 minutes(note to self, always inquire to customer while on the phone does part in question appear to have been set on fire? If so please order new part)

Get back to the house to an email from the place I ordered the hose for Steph's Mercedes "Congratulations you part will ship today" Well thats great guys I ordered it before noon yesterday and paid for next day delivery.

Now Steph calls "I have a doctors appointment at 4 tomorrow and granmaw can't take me, I have to have the car"

Go to shop carefully grind away crimp type hose fitting, yeah I can make this work. Go buy hose, make replacement hose assembly, drive to Gainesville, crawl under car take off broken hose, put on cobbled together replacement.

Put in 4 quarts of ATF, cross fingers that driving car for 10 miles after it puked out all of the trans fluid did not destroy transmission.

Followed her to gas station to fill it up with diesel, she says it works just like before.

Mercedes, built Ford tough, takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

I'd never want to own an older Mercedes, which is why I'd never buy a Mercedes..I like to keep a car for 10 years or more.

Today I pulled a few weeds until the lawn mowing service showed up. Watched them mow the lawn. Then I went inside, had a sandwich and then took a nap.
