it looks like I will be heading out to California again.

One of my clients talked me into going out there for him a couple of years ago and do some leasing for him.
Similar project again. Back in the late 20s and early 30s some folks fron Jack county moved out to southern
California. Turns out the inherited a mineral interest in a large tract of land where my client is going to drill several wells. I need to track down those folks heirs and figure which of them need to be leased.

I really don't want to do this, but he has doubled my fee and has agreed to pay for my air fare to come home on the weekends so I can see the grandsons football games. I will load my truck tomorrow and start the drive around midnight.

Be careful going. From what I hear the Arizona Speed Cops are still as bad as ever.

I usually set the cruise a couple of mph above the speed limit. I really don't want to answer questions about what I have in my console.

I love visiting California. We have family there. I wouldn't want to live in California though, but it's wonderful to visit. I don't want to go to Temecula right now. I'd probably cry since our dear friend has lost so many of her tropical plants and trees due to the drought. They are on strict water restrictions. She has 15 acres under a sprinkler system and this is the first year she hasn't been able to water.

Well, I am in Deming. Going to find a mom/pop restaurant, cheap but clean motel and sleep until it gets dark. Should make southern California about this time tomorrow.
