Will Biden Choose Obama as VP?
Will Biden Choose Obama as VP?
I read a report on Drudge today saying that Biden has almost decided to choose Obama as his VP candidate.
Biden is now behind in the polls for 2024. Kamala Harris is as disliked as Biden is. It's a losing ticket.
The 22nd Amendment allows Obama to be elected VP and assume the presidency in case Biden dies.
It only prohibits a person from being ELECTED president more than twice.
Obama is very popular (No idea why). A Biden-Obama ticket would probably win.
Bad news

It's not constitutional. 12th Amendment.

There is nothing in the 12th Amendment prohibiting it.

The “constitutionally ineligible” clause ensures that the electors may not vote for someone who does not meet the qualifications for the presidency set forth in Article II of the Constitution, which provides only three requirements to be “eligible” to become president: “No person except [i] a natural born citizen … shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office [ii] who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and [iii] been fourteen years a resident within the United States”.
The 22nd Amendment says Obama may not be "elected" president again. It doesn't say he is not eligible to BE president.
Biden CAN run with Obama. My hope is that Obama doesn't want to mess with it. He's retired, and money running out of his ears. Why not stay where he is and enjoy it? We'll see.
Re: Will Biden Choose Obama as VP?
Obama is the shadow president right now. It was Obama that engineered the hostile takeover of the 2020 Democrat primary and installed Brandon as the nominee and ultimately the president. The string pullers in the white house right now are all a bunch of Obama minions.
Putting Obama officially in the administration just makes it easier for him to call all of the shots.
"Fundamental Transformation" is what we are living right now. The so-called middle class must be destroyed.

I guess you didn't read it: "But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States."

I read it and explained it. Obama is NOT ineligible to be president. He is ineligible to be ELECTED president.

Well, it is complicated. It would probably have to go through the courts. And I doubt that the current Supreme court would agree that he could be president again, even if it was theoretical possible.

That's not Drudge.

The lefthand column under Biden's picture. You'll have to click that link.
If you can't understand that, I can't help you anymore.

I remember a lot of people saying that when Trump first ran for president in '16.

You're wrong. There is no one on that Court as dumb as you are. The Constitution is plain about what it says.

They argue about the Constitution all the time. Not what it says, but what it means.

I heard the same thing from Bill Cunningham's "The Great American" radio show last night. I think he's wrong too.
