If he's done something wrong he needs to go.
I haven't followed it, with the exception of local coverage.
The one thing that struck me as odd, this is not quoting, just what I remember hearing.
One person's testimony involved questioning the facts of statements from the FBI, lawyers, and judges. His inference was that the FBI, judges and lawyers were above reproach and Paxton shouldn't research them.
That set off red lights and sirens for me.
Just look at recent instances of wrong doing by that group.
