About Ken Paxton

I freely admit I don't care what happens in his impeachment.

If he's done something wrong he needs to go.

I haven't followed it, with the exception of local coverage.

The one thing that struck me as odd, this is not quoting, just what I remember hearing.

One person's testimony involved questioning the facts of statements from the FBI, lawyers, and judges. His inference was that the FBI, judges and lawyers were above reproach and Paxton shouldn't research them.

That set off red lights and sirens for me.

Just look at recent instances of wrong doing by that group.

I watched the impeachment trial, the case against Paxton was hearsay, innuendo, and rumor. Watching the DNC media reporting of the trial versus the trial was entertaining, their bias was a text book example.

Ken Paxton should be President Trump's next AG. He's proven that he isn't scared of anything or anybody.

Curious. I work from home and was able to watch ALL, and I mean all, of the trial on live stream from the Senate chambers.
If you weren’t able to do that I call BS on your opinions. They don’t hold any water.

There were some things that didn’t have enough evidenced to convict. (By the way, the ONLY Senators who voted nay on anything were Democrats. The Republicans voted lock-step with the powers that be) But Article 6 was a slam dunk.

If you weren’t able to do that l, or are unable to separate truth from polituxs, you’re talking out of your ass.

The 16 Senators who voted nay on EVERY article are simply trying to cash in on political capital.

But, on this board, the vast majority of you talk out of your ass.

Oak, how much of the impeachment trial did you watch? Did you watch the part about the termination timeline of the whistleblowers? Article 6? Can you deny that?

That is not a whistleblower, that is a disgruntled employee.

That’s one guy. What about the others? Out of 7 whistleblowers, 2 resigned and the rest were terminated within 45 days of blowing the whistle.
And then he offered a settlement that he wanted the taxpayers to pay for. 3.3 miilion. Do you think that’s right?

All the prosecution really needed to do was show that he was unfit to hold the office. Just because he may have done some good things (according to Republicans) it doesn’t mean that he is a good AG.

By the way, the Senate Democrats were the only ones not to vote the same way on EVERY article.

Like I said earlier, since I primarily work from home, I was able to watch the entire live feed of the proceedings. I missed very little.
If all one is getting is sound bites from their favorite news outlet, one probably don't have the big picture.

The one good thing to come from this ridiculous sham impeachment is that every Texan should now know that the idiots in the Texas House are the reason Austin is so ineffective. We now have a roadmap for the primaries. Every House member that voted to impeach and/or voted for Phelan as House speaker must be primaried out of their jobs.

That’s the only reason Paxton wasn’t ousted.
