Newsome appoints replacement

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) will reportedly appoint EMILY’s List President Laphonza Butler to fill the Senate seat that Dianne Feinstein vacated upon her recent death.
Her qualifications:
Black, woman, lesbian.
and
She lives in Maryland.
Seems perfect.

And she has an impressive record of success: she worked on the presidential campaign for Kneepads Harris.
