What's the deal with High School Students running around in traffic? Is it the new stupidity or what?

Learned of this game on the news tonight.
Game is called Fugitive.
How it is played: One group of HS kids begin to run through traffic while the second group chases them--in cars.
It was being played at night over in FW and a girl was hit by a car driven by someone NOT playing the game. Girl is in serious condition.
Talk about a foolish, foolish game........(shake head)

I have no idea. I first heard of it on the evening news. ...and that is as much as I know about the game.

Kids do things way too early. I'm talking about dating, make up, hair color, cell phones, etc. By the time they are teenagers, they are bored and find stupid stuff like that to do.
