Remember that 85 billion we gave to the IRS?

Postby Sangersteve » Sat Jan 13, 2024 6:07 pm

OOPS should have read 80 billion.

The good news is that 20 billion got rescinded.

So now they have 60 billion to go after those greedy millionaires and billionaires.

The IRS clawed back some of that money from those rich tax cheats.

Yup they got 360 million back

Great job IRS, right?

Well...

The federal government collects somewhere around $4.45 trillion a year in tax receipts.

So 360 million is close to a rounding error.

But hey they have 9 more years at 6 billion a year.

Sounds like a great investment.
It's a joke son,I say a joke

I read somewhere that they were using the extra money to go after the poor slobs that work in the gig economy, have to work multiple jobs, sell shit on Ebay, etc.

I'm sure the millionaires and billionaires aren't getting touched.
