If not you better hurry. It's at an all time high and moving higher every day! The current run up began 13 Feb. :D

The run up continues. Gold stock mutual funds are the way to go. And you don't have to buy bullion or coins and pay for storage. Let the experts pick the mining companies to buy. Just sit back and watch the cash roll in. 8-)

Gold ended the week with a BANG! Up from $2,308 yesterday to $2,342 today! That should open some eyes! But, I expect this is just the beginning as the US dollar goes down the tubes. :D

If you put a $1 gold coin in a Coke machine, will you get any change back?

That's why you need silver too. Did you know that Trump was a big fan of the gold standard? So, maybe it could happen if he's elected.
But, I wouldn't bet on it. :D

Great I have several pounds of silver coins.

So according to plano I should run to my nearest coke machine with silver coins.

Soda pop is a buck 50 per 12 oz can.

Insert 6 quarters, current melt value $4.95 each.

Thats some great financial advice.

You need to have real sterling silver coins, not the silver clad crap that we still use as change. Silver bars are good. You can easily buy the 1 once size. But, gold allows you to store more value in a much smaller space than silver. Or mining stocks. I own mostly mining stocks.

That still doesn't answer my question.

Gold, silver, mining stocks...

How much of each do you need to take to the store to trade for a loaf of bread?

Store flower. Bake your own bread. After the crash is too late. There won't be any food stores in operation for a period of time. You will also need to have freeze dried foods that you see advertised now. Otherwise you are S out of L.

Oh there's a lot more than just 1. That's why we have paper money, copper clad coins, etc. that always ends up completely worthless

The Continental was "real American dollars" too.
The US petrol dollar is the reserve currency of the world. It used to be the Pound Sterling until they blew it. Now, we've blown it. But, every fiat currency that ever existed ended up completely worthless. So, it's just a matter of time.

Petro dollars and reserve currency are two different things.

Petro dollars are the result of U.S. dollars having been established as how each country pays for oil exported from one country to another. Petro dollars are all about oil.

A reserve currency is the currency in which sovereign wealth is kept.

The U.S. dollar is by far the most stable currency in the world, and it is the currency in which that sovereign wealth is stored.

Gold is going up because Russia and China are buying it up and storing it. It's called supply and demand. When demand goes up supply decreases and prices go up. As long as that continues prices will continue to increase. And that is why we should start trading in our paper dollars and buy and store physical gold.

quote]Let’s now zoom out a little bit and try to put this into some kind of perspective. The first obvious point here is that gold pricing is increasingly being determined by demand for physical gold rather than mere speculation. Let’s be clear: the People’s Bank of China is not loading up on 25:1 leveraged gold futures contracts with cash settlement. Neither is Russia. They’re backing trucks laden with the real thing into the vaults. And in fact we have seen net exports from wholesale markets in London and Switzerland – i.e. representing Western institutional gold. That gold has been moving East.[/quote]https://www.rt.com/business/595122-west-losing-gold-east/
