Loonies, conspiracy theorists, cultists, crackpots, Alex Jones & Alex Jones wannabes, on social media are going nuts over this eclipse. I'm not sure whether I should be amused, appalled, confused, saddened, bewitched, bothered, or bemildred. All of a sudden, spots on the road (and mostly not even that) have become cities. Collapsed bridges, earthquakes, political crises & war scares are being blamed on the eclipse. About the only things not being blamed on it are the heartbreak of psoriasis & the agony of defeat - so far. I'll just be happy if it's only not too cloudy to see it. In 2017 my wife, grandson & I made a 1,200 mile round trip to NE Kansas to see it, only for it to get rained out there. At least this time, I'll only have to stop outside to be disappointed.

Alex Jones was one of Trump's biggest fans. On Jan 6 he was right in the middle of it with his bullhorn whipping up the crowd.

She doesn't need to be an expert on cicadas to know that their emergence is cyclical and predictable, just like eclipses. It's been talked about in the news, just like the eclipse.
