Price gouging

Vice President Kamala Harris on Friday is expected to call for a federal ban on price gouging to lower grocery prices and everyday costs for Americans in her first economic policy speech in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Who is going to be in charge of deciding how much profit a person can make?
Ever seen this on a menu?
LOBSTER--------Market price
So a restaurant can determine how much to adjust the price due to cost, but the cost of Cheerio's will be set by Kamala.
Her and her boss caused the prices to rise, they have accused producers of price gouging and shrinkflation, and now she wants to determine the amount of profit to be made.

We were told that corporate tax cuts would ultimately be passed down to everyone. They haven’t been and they won’t be.
Corporate greed is killing us all.

Corporations may be miserly about passing on tax savings to consumers; but I can assure you they are not shy about passing on tax increases
The modern DNC is a creature controlled by modern day robber barons in Silicon Valley, Wall Street, and other related mega corporations; as with anything there are exceptions.

Not that Kamallah knows or cares; or that her voting base does, grocery stores have very low net margins. It depends 2-4%, or close to that.

The grocery stores may, but the corporate farms don’t necessarily work that way.

Farms corporate or independent generally don't set crop prices, they take what the going price is; and some try to protect themselves by futures trading.

We finally got to the farmers and I realized I'm part of the problem, well my wife is.
She inherited a section of land in N. Dakota.
He section is not really very productive
400 hundred acres designated pasture that is leased for $800.00 a year no price increase over the contract period.
The remaining land is farmable @ 1400 per year same no increase.
Yup she pays the taxes.
So I guess as a good communist she should quit gouging the farmer. Or kick them both off and let the land go fallow.

I was paid 15 dollars per acre by a real farmer that raised wheat on my crop land, I doubt he cleared much more than that. I did OK on a little hay, and leased out some pasture land for grazing.
After expenses I raked in 3800 dollars

I’m not talking about the mom and pop farms. That’s why I said “corporate” farms.

If you apply for a job at the Harris website, you choose from 9 sets of pronouns, and there are still no issues discussed there.
This is what you do when all you want is raving lunatics.

Dear Grocery Store,
Kamallah says your prices are too high.
Please arrange with the manufacturer for lower pricing on these items.
Sincerely,
Dumbass

Brain-dead Lefties are way too stupid to ever understand how price controls create shortages.

And brain dead conservatives keep falling for the same bullshit they’ve been falling for since the Reagan administration. That’s a better definition of stupidity. Doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Well, to be fair, she said, "Price gauging". Because she's an idiot.

That's a pretty good description of attempts at price-fixing. They have never worked, and never will. In fact, they lead to disastrous results, like prolonging the Great Depression.
