LINCOLN, Neb. — Deion Sanders and the Colorado football team were humbled in embarrassing fashion by their rival Nebraska on Saturday night.
Shedeur Sanders was hit often, sacked five times and intercepted by the Cornhuskers' suffocating defense during a game that had shades of the 2023 season. The Buffaloes trailed by four touchdowns at halftime and were unable to take advantage of Nebraska true freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola's inexperience.
Nebraska dominated from start to finish, beating Colorado 28-10 to snap its three-game losing streak to the Buffs.

Colorado State won one at home yesterday against Northern Colorado 38-17.

And that's REALLY bad, because Nebraska hasn't won more than five games since 2016.

LINCOLN, Neb. – Searching for positive things to say after his team suffered a 28-10 loss here at Nebraska, Colorado football coach Deion Sanders came up with this:
His team won the second half, 10-0.
"I’m just excited," Sanders said after the game. "I mean, you gotta understand when you’re in a situation like this, you gotta find something to hold onto that you can encourage your team. And I’m truly excited about the second half of football that we played."
That’s one way of looking at it. Another way of looking at is that Sanders and the Buffaloes still have many of the same problems as last year despite overhauling the roster for the second consecutive year.
