Sharp as a Tack
Re: Sharp as a Tack
How can any sane person continue to support the Party that covered up dementia Joe for over four years; that is until his poll numbers looked too bad to overcome and then they pulled off a palace coup ?
I am a never Kamalaite!

No, I don't believe so.
They defended him against the usual Leftist attacks that he was too old, senile, etc.
Reagan did have a serious hearing deficit, and that might have contributed to him appearing confused because he couldn't hear questions and such.
Reagan was thrown from a horse shortly after he left office , the same year I believe. As a result of that he developed a blood clot on his brain that had to be drained. Afterwards he was given a series of cognitive tests that were in the normal range for a gentleman of his age. Three or four years later around 1993 the beginnings of Alzheimer's disease was found.
His head injury in 1988 could have accelerated the onset of it, but there is no evidence he suffered from it while in office.

Actually some things of his staff considered invoking the 25th A while he was still in office.

Yes, but when Howard Baker took over as Chief of Staff, he called bullsh*t on that. It was seven years later that Reagan was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I think that the larger issue was that Reagan was shot and nearly died. It's tough for 70-year-old man to fully recover from that. In any case, Reagan was playing hardball with the Commies, kicking butts and taking names. There is really no comparison to Biden, who was a dumb*ss before he got dementia, and now he is just pitiful.

Abraham Lincoln suffered from debilitating depression and yet managed to win the Civil War.
There is no bad peace and there are no good wars
