Vance got off to a bad start by wasting time introducing himself and talking of his family history. He should have just given a succint answer to the question about a pre-emptive strike on Iran--it would be reactive rather than pre-emptive after today's events--and then generously ceded his time to Walz to answer the question as he had not been able to so far. It would have caught him flatfooted.

I believe the Republican debate prep people have put too many shackles on Vance. Walz is lying through his teeth about virtually everything. Vance should be swatting this shit out of the park, but he is not.
