I am disgusted

Last December I was woke up at midnight by a call from the Denton police.
My credit card was stolen and they had the guy under arrest
The question they asked was will you press charges
Hell yes
Yesterday I was contacted by someone connected with the case with the most made up story about how the guy accidently had my credit card.
So this morning I tried to talk to the Denton police.
Well let me tell you, it's impossible, I tried everything except 911
I called my buddy, who is a Gainesville cop, to see if he had a friend that works in Denton, he said he did but they were just patrol guys.
He then told me you can't fight through the red tape to talk to Denton PD.
He then said the only way would be drive down there and hope someone would talk
The police want you to believe they are there to help
When it comes down to the simplest thing, just talking on the phone they can't be bothered.
If even a surrounding agency can't get their cooperation, what chance does a citizen have.
