Less than two weeks before Election Day, The Washington Post said Friday it would not endorse a candidate for president in this year’s tightly contested race and would avoid doing so in the future — a decision immediately condemned by a former executive editor and one that the current publisher insisted was “consistent with the values the Post has always stood for.”https://apnews.com/article/washington-p ... c4764c63f5WaPo has endorsed a candidate in every election since endorsing Jimmy Carter, and endorsed Joe Biden in 2020. Read into this decision what you will. They say this is forever, but sometime in the future I would expect to see "there's too much as stake for us to remain neutral."

Washington Post editor at large Robert Kagan resigned Friday following a decision by the paper not to endorse a candidate in the 2024 presidential race. Kagan, who was well-known for his vehement opposition to former President Donald Trump, caused a stir in the media when The Washington Post declared it was going back to its decades-old posture of not endorsing him.

Are newspapers still a thing? My hometown newspaper is down to three days a week. My parents take home delivery.

Of course we all know why the major newspapers didn’t endorse Harris/Walz. And if you can’t figure it out, well….. there’s no help for you.
