How tariffs work is they are levied on imports and add to the cost of the product. So, they are actually paid by the American consumer, not the exporting country.

So can you explain why it’s always the country that will have tariffs put on their products that complains?

Mexico and Canada are presently freaking out and panicking.

Meanwhile, the American consumer are reacting very positively.

The country in question knows no one will be buying their stuff.
