I've read this a couple of times and don't fully understand it.
A man was convicted under the Texas law for photographing children in bathing suits at a water park.
The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ruled the law unconstitutional.

I'm assuming it is the same law that deals with people with cameras on their shoes taking pictures up a woman's dress. They've caught a few of these perverts.

Yeah, that is a weird story.

So basically, some weirdo (a pervert, IMHO) was caught taking underwater pictures of children (in their swimsuits) at a San Antonio waterpark. Instead of offering a plausible explanation as to why he was photographing scantily-clad children who were strangers to him, he challenges the law as unconstitutional. It seems like if there was a good explanation he would be shouting it from the rooftops rather than have people jump to the conclusion that he's a perv.

The judges agree and says "Yeah pervert-guy, this law goes too far; case dismissed". So the law is thrown out as unconstitutional.

But at the end of the day, I'd still like to know why pervert-guy was doing what he was doing. His actions seem to have gotten lost in the fight over this law.
