I really like Ron Jackson. I guess it started long ago when they'd have the animals up for adoption on Saturday morning news. He has such an instinct with dogs and cats. My heart broke for him when he lost his pets in a fire at his house. He shares with us on facebook, recipes, his cars, his home and his life. He had just announced a "life changing" part of his life. Most people were guessing that he was going to marry. There's been a girlfriend in his life for quite awhile. She's helped him through his knee replacement and another health problem. She's very likable. My best wishes for a speed, uncomplicated recovery.

Up date from Chris Jackson

All the Prayers worked!!!!! Ron is off the ventilator and they are easing up on his sedation. He is talking in a whisper but really coherent. If the swelling goes down his surgery for the orbital fracture will be on Tuesday. I will continue updates until he can do it himself. Thanks to All for all the prayers and good wishes. Like Ron would say God Bless!!!!!!!!

This was yesterday afternoon.....Ann

Ann, where did you get that update? I went to his Facebook page and found nothing at all about the accident. BUT I did see where Ron mentioned something a few weeks ago about a life changing event. Most people were guessing a wedding but Ron never said. Did he ever tell anyone?

There are a lot of good wishes on Ron's facebook. It's probably buried by now. I've only seen pics of his mom and aunt when they visited so I'm not sure about Chris....sister? brother? It is about time for him to do an update so I'll look.

Here's an update from Chris...............................................................................................................

Chris Jackson‎Ron Jackson

4 hrs ·
.

They put Ron bk on the ventilator due to pain of breathing on his own because of the broken shoulder and scapula. They have decided to do the shoulder surgery first to ease the pain. They are trying to schedule it for tomorrow. I know everyone is very concerned about him. This is not a setback, he is in stable condition, all vitals are great. Will let u know more as soon as I know more.

Crocmommy, go to Ron's facebook page and on the left side it says "Posts to page" and you'll have to look hard to find Chris' updates. There are so many posts. Chris did ask for people not to call the hospital or try to visit. He's still in ICU. Chris did say that the shoulder surgery went well and they're trying to wean him from the vent. But that was yesterday. No updates this morning, yet. It's early, yet.

I am too busy to dig through those posts. If you don't mind sharing whatever you can find out, I'd appreciate it.

Part of the confusion might be that Ron Jackson has 2 Facebook pages. This is the one that is having the updates posted:

Chris Jackson

Update! Ronnie is off the ventilator and resting nicely. Still on a lot of pain meds to allow him to rest. Prayers definitely had a big part! Thanks again for all the love and support u have sent! It is more appreciated than you'll ever know. Can't wait for him to sit down and read all of the great posts. More updates to come! Gonna miss all of you when he's able to do this himself!

I clicked on Ron's FB account.....and then, curious about "Who is Chris Jackson?" I clicked on her page.
Here is what is on her page:

Got Married
July 8

==============================
So, was this Ron's big news?
(she could be his DIL or another family member, but I'm betting new wife.)

Ron Announced the life changing even a few weeks before his accident, so I doubt he was already married. I don't think he was counting on a scooter accident then which is more life changing than he was planning on I'm sure.

Heh....if you read on you'll see that she did was already married and that was a mistake. Her kids were saying "hey mom you never told me about the divorce". LOL.

Anyway, she's from Illinois which is where Ron is from so I'm guessing she's family that has come down to help him. Would be nice if she would just say.

I'm not real sure how that would be life changing for him, but you never know.
