Yeah I said it democrats were right, technically.
Otherwise they are dead wrong
They do have a team devoted to searching out waste, fraud, and abuse.
They are called inspectors general.
They unfortunately have a fatal flaw.
They do not have an on switch. Systems do not function in the O F F position.
So these inspectors never saw the waste, fraud, and abuse.
Fortunately for us this flaw was detected by Trump.
He then launched DOGE
DOGE does not have an off switch.

DOGE is looking for receipts. What a concept.
Re: Democrats were right
An oversimplification, but not by a whole lot.

I wonder what Meryl Streep thinks about her principled press now. (Rhetorical - I'm sure she thinks they've been doing the Lord's work)

It was detected long before Trump by the founding fathers. It was built into the Constitution and worked like a charm until it was shitcanned. It was called the "Gold Standard".

Re: Democrats were right
The Teapot Dome scandal has historically been regarded as the worst such scandal in the United States[28] – the "high water mark" of cabinet corruption. It is often used as a benchmark for comparison with subsequent scandals. In particular it has been compared to the Watergate scandal, in which a cabinet member, Attorney General John N. Mitchell, went to prison, the second time in American history that a member of the cabinet has been incarcerated.[31] During the first Trump administration, news outlets compared alleged misconduct by members of the Trump cabinet,[32][33][34][35] and specifically by Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke,[36][37][38] to the Teapot Dome scandal.

Yes, and that happened a decade before we went off the gold standard. So, you must have just thrown that in there gratuitously. Either that, or you're trying to make a different point, presumably about politicians abuse of the money supply.
