Second surgery

Postby ann jusko » Mon Sep 22, 2014 6:02 pm

I'm home from the second surgery. This was the left iliac artery. I remember nothing but did have just conscious sedation.
This was a bit different procedure but I still had to lay still for 2.5 hours, but there was no pressure needed. I've had an odd sensation when I get out of bed in the morning or get up from the computer. It was nothing I could describe so no one could figure out what it was. I'm hoping this is what was causing it. It's not pain, just a very odd feeling. The problems started with the aortic aneurism being much bigger than they thought. It was blocking the artery. That's why he had to abort the first aneurism surgery. Then after a lot of "mapping", he did an open aorta repair and used a balloon on the blocked arteries. So they were blocking again. No stent on this one but there is a stent on the right one. I have to remain quiet for 48 hours and then I'M GOING TO THE COAST! Thanks for your prayers!
