Do you have plans to improve the west bound service road between Marsh Lane and Webb Chapel Road?

At this time, the storm water drains are not level with the pavement. When a vehicle travels the street, there is a bump over each storm drain. Some of the bumps are pretty significant......currently one has a sign warning that there is a bump. IMO, it is pretty bad quality of work to have such significant misalignment of the drains and the street level.

Currently, the frontage roads where we have not reached final completion (between Josey Lane all the way to Preston Rd.) are approximately 1.25 inches below grade. That is because we are still in the construction phase in sections, and asphalt along these frontage roads have been laid up to the binder course, which is not the last layer, and explains why some of the drainage inlets are slightly higher.

The last layer of asphalt (called SMA) is usually paved in long runs usually done after any digging, or surface modification is needed in the section. Paving the SMA this way will provide a much better quality end product with less joints and better durability. An example of frontage road with the last layer of asphalt placed is just east of Preston, which was part of our Phase 1 opening.

The westbound frontage road between Marsh Lane and Webb Chapel road will receive its final layer of asphalt next year, before full project completion in late 2015.
