Our #2 granddaughter started Air Force boot camp on Monday. I am very proud of her.
She had been accepted by three universities and decided to serve our nation.
Sic'em Paige.

Good for her! Does she have an idea of what she wants to do?

I have a buddy who learned to "fly" satellites in the Air Force. He retired after 23 years; and now works for TRW (or a successor company) flying satellites for a nice six figure income....

Well, first I'm shocked she's older enough to have graduated from high school! I'm always shocked at how fast others kind grow up so fast. Congratulations to her! I hope she enjoys her time in service as much as I did.

Great idea to serve her country. She can always go to school next and she'll get enough help so she won't be in deep debt later.

And sometimes college studies are part of your service time, if the military has plans for your role in ???
Congratulations to her.

They put the recruit candidates thru a battery of screening tests. She scored out at the top.
She requested military intelligence and hopes for an assignment in Europe. Her mom held that
job in the Army.

You are correct. She says that there will be college credits earned in her advanced training.
