Free wifi should be a minimum expectation of any hotel these days.

I wonder how the people confirmed their flights? I always have to confirm mine 24 hours before the flight. But then, I've only been flying Southwest to Providence in the last year.

I've been to the Gaylord Texan (Marriott property) a couple of times for a trade show. It always seemed odd to me that they didn't provide free Wi-Fi for people attending shows and conventions.

Their desire to protect the security of visitors' devices is laudable, but turning around and charging for it is laughable.

Glad to see this. Hotel rooms are overpriced and then they want an extra charge for wifi??? It should be expected in a room like a TV.

In Vegas most hotels don't have "wifi" in the rooms. Obviously they don't want you sitting in your room. They have common areas .. After all these years I sure would have thought that was changed.

Yeah and it gets to be a real pain if you need to go online and check flight information. I had a friend who got me on stand by on Southwest and I really needed to check flight times.

They offered you wi-fi if you paid $$.

Any hotel should provide it with no fee. It is expected in today's world. The days of charging for wifi are long gone.

Interesting thread of various entitlement mentalities.
